The bar inside of Het Van Sminia Huys is located where the former servants of the house would be. The bar is made by the former doors of the suite of Dr. Uffelie. The cupboards are the originals from the kitchen.
When going to the first room on the right inside of the house, is the Bibliotheekkamer located. This room was formerly used as the living room from which royalty would "look down" on the people. The room is restored to its original state. This room is well suited for meetings and dinner parties with a maximum of 8 guests.
In this beautiful garden you will enjoy an intimate, almost burgandy lifestyle. The garden is possible to be used together with the Tuinzaal and gives the possibility to be used for almost every event, be it a wedding party, an informal meeting or even a barbeque. It is also possible to use this garden in the winter, when the setting is decorated with torches and bonfires and maybe even christmas trees! A perfect get-away from the city, in the city.
The largest room in het Van Sminia Huys is de Tuinzaal. This room's former purpose was the doctor's office of Dr. Uffelie. The floors really tell the story of his time. Both a "U", his last name initial and an "S" of Drs. Sonnega, his pharmacist are engraved in the floor.
De Tuinzaal is a cosy space, perfect for a lunch or dinner meeting, with a maximum of 60 guests. When choosing this room for a reception party, the room allows a maximum capacity of 120 guests. the three large doors grand access to the unique garden.
